Learning Objectives

Upon completing this course, you’ll be able to do the following:

  • Describe how Universal Service Monitoring (USM) provides service details without instrumenting code.
  • Navigate the Software Catalog to access and review services, their details, and corresponding telemetry.
  • Filter and query tracked services in the Software Catalog UI.
  • Identify and analyze details for an individual service, including the telemetry collected by Datadog.
  • Create an entity definition in the Software Catalog to enhance default USM data.
