  • Create monitors using a monitor template, Metric Explorer, and the monitor form to ensure critical metrics are effectively tracked.
  • Use the Monitor Quality page to identify and improve underperforming monitors.
  • Customize the monitor name and notification messages with variables to clearly identify the issue being monitored.
  • Set alert conditions to handle scenarios like missing data and configure a multi alert grouping strategy to ensure notifications are accurately targeted.
  • Examine the Monitor Status page to identify trends in monitored metrics and take timely actions by resolving monitors in an alert state, muting monitors when necessary, and scheduling downtime to manage alerts during maintenance periods.

Primary Audience

This course is designed for DevOps engineers, SREs, system administrators, and others who are directly responsible for creating, managing, and responding to alerts about their infrastructure.
